TPG did not bid

TPG Capital is no longer interested in the media assets of Calik Holding AS of Turkey, a person familiar with the process said.

TPG didn't bid for Calik units ATV television and Sabah newspaper, the person said on the condition of anonymity because the talks were private.

Rupert Murdoch's New Corp. and U.S. media company Time Warner Inc. were also weighing offers as recently as Jan. 6, four people familiar with the situation said at the time.

A spokesman for TPG declined comment.

Bloomberg
