AGREMENT TO CONCLUDE DISCUSSION ON FREE TRADE
South Korean President Lee Myung Bak and Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed to conclude discussions on free trade in the first half of the year, Yonhap News said, citing unidentified officials.

PACT TO BUILD POWER PLANTS
South Korea will sign a preliminary pact to build power plants in Turkey in a deal worth about $2 billion, Yonhap News reported, citing an official at Korea's presidential office it didn't identify.

THE PROJECT WILL INVOLVE..
The project will involve building a new coal-fired power plant and upgrading existing ones, according to Yonhap. The agreement will be signed in Turkey tomorrow between South Korea's SK Energy Co., Korea South-East Power Co. and Turkey's state utility Elektrik Uretim AS, or Euas, according to the report.

'SOUTH KOREA  CAN PATRICIPATE IN BUILDING A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT IN TURKEY'
President Lee Myung-Bak said South Korea can bridge differences with Turkey in new negotiations and participate in building a nuclear power plant in Turkey.

Turkey asked South Korea to participate in consultations on nuclear power, Lee said in televised comments from Ankara at a joint press conference with Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
