Tickets for this year's İstanbul International Film Festival will go on sale on Saturday, the organizers of the event announced this week.
This will be the 32nd edition of the annual festival, which will feature more than 200 films from recent international festival favorites to movie classics in over 20 sections in six movie theaters across the city from March 30 to April 14.
The festival will open with Spanish director Pedro Almodovar's newest film “I'm So Excited.”
Twelve feature-length films that focus on the concept of art or adapted from a literary work will be in the running for the Golden Tulip Awards in the festival's international competition while the national competition will see 10 recent Turkish feature films vie for awards. Yılmaz Erdoğan's latest directorial effort “Kelebeğin Rüyası” (The Butterfly's Dream) and Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi's newest film “Closed Curtain” are among competition titles.
Festivalgoers can purchase tickets from Biletix sales points, call center and online, and at the box offices of the Atlas, Beyoğlu and Rexx movie theaters, starting at 10 a.m., the İstanbul Foundation for Culture and Art (İKSV) said in a written statement. Prices range from TL 5 to TL 15.
